A Subprefeitura da Zona Sul, em parceria com a Gerência Executiva de Botafogo, por meio do programa Rio em Ordem, e com apoio das secretarias municipais de Ordem Pública e Assistência Social, além da Comlurb e do programa Botafogo Presente, realizou, nesta sexta-feira (14/6), uma operação de ordenamento na Praça Nelson Mandela, em Botafogo. Durante a ação, os agentes municipais verificaram alvará de funcionamento de expositores que ocupam o local, como vendedores de roupas e food trucks.
Três barracas instaladas em local não autorizado, prejudicando a circulação dos pedestres e sem a presença do titular ou auxiliar, conforme prevê a Lei 1876/92 do comércio ambulante, foram removidas, liberando o passeio público. Um food truck também foi encontrado em situação de furto de energia. O responsável pelo veículo alegou para os agentes que fez a solicitação de instalação de ponto de luz para a concessionária de energia, mas como não foi atendido acabou fazendo a ligação clandestina. Em consequência disso, foi encaminhado para a 10ª DP (Botafogo) e, posteriormente, levado para a 12ª DP (Copacabana), onde foi preso em flagrante.
