A Aliança apresenta propostas para grupos de transição do novo governo federal – Aliança Pela Alimentação Adequada e Saudável

Grupo de transição de Desenvolvimento Social, em coletiva de imprensa

A Aliança pela Alimentação Adequada e Saudável está acompanhando o processo de transição para o novo governo, que toma posse no dia 1º de janeiro de 2023. Diante da trágica conjuntura de insegurança alimentar e nutricional que atinge mais da metade das brasileiras e brasileiros, associada à escassez de água em algumas regiões e à falta de cuidado com o meio ambiente, é preciso que medidas do novo governo incidam urgentemente para a garantia de direitos da população.

Com base na Campanha “Candidata e candidato, o que tem no seu prato?”, a Aliança enviou cartas para o Coordenador dos Grupos de Transição, Aloísio Mercadante, e para os Grupos Técnicos da Área da Saúde e de Desenvolvimento Social. Nelas, foram explicitados brevemente os quatro eixos das propostas da Aliança:

A carta demanda, ainda, o fortalecimento das políticas públicas e dos espaços intersetoriais relacionados à segurança alimentar e nutricional, inclusive a volta do Conselho Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional (Consea). A Aliança também se colocou à disposição para apoiar um Grupo de Trabalho em discussões e decisões da Equipe de Transição em relação à agenda de proteção e promoção da alimentação adequada e saudável.

A luta por acesso a alimentos adequados,  saudáveis e água potável para todas e todos exigirá grandes esforços do governo e da sociedade civil organizada. O Brasil, que já saiu do Mapa da Fome uma vez, vive agora um contexto social, econômico e ambiental diferente. As propostas da Aliança são guias que indicam caminhos construídos coletivamente através dos diversos olhares e vivências dos seus membros. Espera-se que a realização do direito humano à alimentação adequada seja prioridade absoluta nas políticas públicas no novo governo.
