Profissionais da Atenção Básica participam de oficina sobre acolhimento da população LGBTQIA+
A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (SMS), em parceria com a Coordenação de Promoção à Cidadania LGBT, iniciou, na tarde desta segunda-feira (10), a primeira das cinco oficinas de capacitação sobre o acolhimento da população LGBTQIA+ para os profissionais dos serviços de Atenção Básica. As primeiras equipes a se capacitar são as que atuam nas unidades de saúde da família (USFs) pertencentes ao Distrito Sanitário I. Os encontros acontecem no auditório do Paço Municipal.
De acordo com Gustavo Lira, gerente operacional da Diretoria de Atenção à Saúde da SMS, a gestão municipal viu a necessidade de qualificar os profissionais da atenção primária no sentido de oferecer um melhor atendimento e uma melhor assistência a população LGBT+. A iniciativa também atende recomendação do Ministério Público e das entidades sociais.
“A Secretaria de Saúde e o Conselho Municipal de Saúde observaram a necessidade de produzir políticas públicas de saúde voltadas ao melhor atendimento possível e uma delas é justamente a capacitação de toda a rede de Atenção Básica para aprimorar o acolhimento da população LGBT+. Com isso, estamos focados em atender baseados nas leis, nomenclaturas, formas de tratamento e tendo um olhar mais sensível a esse público dentro das unidades de saúde, trazendo humanização, sensibilização, acolhimento e escuta. Nossa proposta é de tornar essas oficinas um trabalho contínuo na nossa gestão”, revelou.
Nesse primeiro dia, cerca de 35 profissionais do Distrito Sanitário I participaram da oficina. A capacitação com os demais profissionais que atuam nos outros quatro distritos sanitários da Rede Municipal de Saúde será realizada neste mês de junho e início de julho. Nesse caso, os encontros vão ocorrer na Coordenadoria de Promoção à Cidadania LGBT, localizada no Parque Solon de Lucena.
“É extremamente importante para gestão municipal realizar essas oficinas para a equipe da Atenção Básica da Saúde, porque é um ponto principal para que a população LGBTQIA+ do município de João Pessoa possa ser bem atendida nesses espaços, para que ela possa ser bem recebida de acordo com suas particularidades, pois esse é o grande objetivo das oficinas. A Coordenadoria LGBT, em parceria com a Secretaria de Saúde, quer capacitar todos os servidores para qualificar esse atendimento”, ressaltou Geraldo Filho, coordenador de Promoção à Cidadania LGBT de João Pessoa.
