Adesão de público-alvo à vacina contra dengue está baixa

A adesão de crianças e adolescentes de 10 a 14 anos à vacina contra dengue está baixa em São José dos Campos. Até segunda-feira (20), apenas 7,11% do público-alvo havia recebido o imunizante, o que representa 3.122 doses aplicadas.
Em São José dos Campos, o público de 10 a 14 anos corresponde a 43.908 pessoas, de acordo com o censo IBGE de 2022.
Todas as 40 UBSs (Unidades Básicas de Saúde) Resolve e as 5 Unidades Avançadas estarão abertas para vacinar o público-alvo.
Os endereços e horários de funcionamento das unidades estão disponíveis para consulta no site da Prefeitura. Importante ressaltar que a vacinação é encerrada uma hora antes do fechamento da unidade.
A aplicação da vacina teve início no dia 7 de maio e será realizada enquanto houver doses disponíveis. São José recebeu 10.977 doses, de acordo com a nota técnica do Ministério da Saúde.
A vacinação contra a dengue tem como objetivo a redução das hospitalizações e óbitos decorrentes das infecções pelo vírus da dengue.
Esquema Vacinal
O esquema vacinal recomendado corresponde à administração de 2 doses, com intervalo de 3 meses entre as doses.
Os pais ou responsáveis devem comparecer na Unidade de Saúde com documento de identificação e a caderneta de vacinação.
Caso a criança ou o adolescente tenha sido diagnosticado com dengue, é necessário aguardar seis meses para iniciar o esquema vacinal.
Em caso de contaminação por dengue após a primeira dose, deve-se manter a data prevista para a segunda dose, desde que haja um intervalo de 30 dias entre a infecção e a segunda dose.
